Ciudad cuica

 

To unveil and reveal the underground memories of Mapuche women working as house maids in the ‘ciudad cuica’. Beyond the denial of their transits through the upper-class sector of the city, we seek to mark these invisible presences. Through a Mapuche cooking workshop and a misawün by Margarita Ortiz Caripán at the Relmulikan home, we elaborated on the links between cooking, biography, and racialized work.
